About

DSCN2359.JPG

A key rule: use the fixed focal length (no zoom) to get as close as possible to the subjects and create a connection through photography. It also allows a gain in light and precision.

I favor film whenever possible, particularly in black & white, to obtain appropriate grain and sufficient black depth.

I appreciate the artisanal process of film photography, after the shot: manual cropping and makeup in the laboratory, but also the pleasure of baryta paper, its longevity and its fibrous thickness.

I choose to limit myself as much as possible:

Analog photography : rolleiflex (6x6) and canon 24x36 reflex

Digital photography : canon eos 6d Mark II (full frame)

Never flash, and photographs as raw as possible.
